Booths our local supermarket have been running a card scheme for the last 6 months.
I have been quite disappointed with it as the only advantage has been that you can read a copy of your recent purchases on line, a free bag with the words '' I flippin love Booths'' on it & special offers on wine.
We would all have liked to see points towards money off our groceries.
Anyway this morning all card holders received this fantastic book...I know it's really a catalogue of what we can order for Christmas but there are 180 glossy pages of recipes & stories about the production of the most gorgeous looking food we can buy in lovely North West version of Waitrose.
Three good things:
1. I have managed to wangle a large sweet jar from the sweet shop to make my damson gin in....paid 50p to charity for the pleasure.
2. Visits from Cathy & a nephew & niece this afternoon.
3. The wind has dropped.
Nice collage - Booths makes me think of holidays in the Lakes - I got 6 large sweet jars about 25 years ago which I use for dried cat food, pasta, etc in the kitchen. I think I paid 50p then!
@seanoneill No as far as I can tell still going strong...a massive & beautiful store in Garstang with free parking for all the town. They are very good on local foods.
Yes, Christmas is on the horizon here too - must try to get ahead . . . . So interesting to learn about your shop - we have our own department store chain in Sudbury - Winch and Blatch!! - its flippin' brilliant!!
