I have been completely uninspired today with photo taking so have scrolled through some old photos from this time last year & came up with this one.
Have messed about with it a little as the glare was strong from the sky at the far end...quite liked the feel of this one.
I have spent a long time today researching compact cameras as I want to replace my Cannon 95S which is broken
I did like the Cannon very much & considered getting a replacement the same or the newer S100 but the Cannon seems to have a big problem with lens error fault which is exactly what was wrong with mine.
Does anyone recommend any make...I want a reasonably priced compact camera preferably one which shoots in RAW mode. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.
Three good things:
1. A fish & chip supper.
2. John the B&B man has helped me find out how to silence the very irritating woman on my sat nav when I no longer need directing.
3. I slept all night!!
Love these trees. I am liking the x100 but something that zooms would probably be better for a general compact camera and also it's quite heavy (which equals robust so that's good!)
A good shot for Hallowe'en? Fish and chips and sleeping all night - talk about the life of Riley!
I have a Panasonic Lumix TZ25 which I picked up very cheaply in Argos clearance online but it doesn't shoot in raw.
This is a lovely shot with a real spooky feel to it. Perfect for the time of year. I have heard really good things about the Sony Nex6, so it maybe worth checking out.
Super shot love the tunnel towards the light and the figures in the distance I think a lot of us lack enthusiasm at the moment - my problem is unable to go out under my own steam Now on the waiting list for Knee replacement beginning .of the year . And seeing the consultant re second shoulder replacement in a months time !! - feeling fed up at the moment !
Its good to put one you really like in a space! Lovely dark woods. Imagine sleeping all night! Have you worked out the recipe? I think our Gps lady is SO rude interrupting and overpowering! I do now how to silence her though!
Just got back in from our fish & chip supper...met up with friends so much later than we thought, have hardly done any commenting so really lagging behind tonight. Nothing much to do tomorrow so will catch up with all the ones I missed in the morning.
Thank you for all your camera suggestions & I have Jack on the case.
Not sure what the recipe for a good nights sleep...not to be too tired I think might do the trick....I usually sleep for an hour then wake up but slept like a log last night.
i like pics like this Pat and the people in the distance do have a ghostly feel to then ........ searching for a compact is difficult ....I like my panasonic ....the tz35 is lovely and has a leica lens.......quite a decent price too...but no RAW...The Canon G Series do Raw, but they are not that compact ....try this site for everything you wanted to know about cameras ... http://www.dpreview.com/products/cameras?utm_campaign=internal-link&utm_source=mainmenu&utm_medium=text&ref=mainmenu
I love this image! It has a magical forest feel to it. Good luck with your camera search, Pat. I'm with @phil_howcroft, I love my Panasonic Lumix. I use it every bit as much as my Nikon. And it has a fantastic zoom lens.
