A truly horrible day...drizzly cold rain & a sneaky litttle wind, it does not inspire you to go out with the camera.
Since 1st November Henry has been on his winter timetable & having a breakfast of ration every morning.
There isn't much nutrition in the grass for a middle aged sheep & he comes racing across as soon as he sees Harry with the orange scoop.
He has new bedding in his hut so all set up for the winter.
Three good things:
1. A warm fire.
2. I have finished at last the long rambling book I have been reading....tedious was the word!!
3. A long chat to a friend on the phone.
Regarding 2. - you did well not to give up! There is something just lovely and touching about this shot with Henry getting his breakfast of ration. I'm giving it a fav for how it makes me feel - and Henry is a great subject!
Wonderful shot! Henry seems to be thoroughly enjoying his breakfast! And I'm sure he is comfy and cozy in his winterized little shelter. I adore your sweet Henry. :)

Thank you all very much...& yes you are right Paul, as soon as he sees the colour orange he knows.....he has the time sorted too & watches out of his hut for the signs.
Hurrah - Henry's back! He obviously knows what's good for him. I have been reading a book that I've enjoyed but I will be pleased when it finishes - it has a mystery ending but instead of enjoying the whole book you end up just wondering what happens.
@judithg@maggiemae The book was Ok to begin with & was only the last one third that meandered on & on....should have ditched it really....haven't read a good book for ages!!
Pat, have you read 'The Fault in Our Stars', by John Green. It's one of the best books I've read in a long time. I read it a year or so ago and it stays with me. 'Bel Canto' by Ann Patchett is excellent, and 'Gone Girl' by Gillian Flynn is a good read. Those are just a few that come to mind right off.
@peggysirk Thanks Peggy....I have read Gone Girl which I really enjoyed but not the other two....going to check on my idle now!!! Just between books so an ideal time to look!
@peggysirk I have downloaded The fault in Our Stars , it has great reviews but couldn't get Bel Canto in the English version.
The tennis has just finished!!!!
Isn't he lovely! I didn't realise sheep recognised colours - I think I always assume all animals are like dogs in that respect (though I'm sure Luna recognises bright colours)!
I think you'll like 'The Fault in Our Stars', Pat. Such endearing characters in that book. Another good one is 'Every Last Cuckoo' by Kate Malory.
I had hoped that Rafa would make it a come from behind victory. No more tennis until the Australian Open in January. :(

What was your boring book, out of interest?
