Harry & I have been visiting friends who are staying in this lovely holiday cottage in Barnacre for Christmas..
Sleeping 14 the whole family are there until Sunday & it has been an ideal way to gather them all in one place for the holiday week.
A massive barn conversion with wood burners & all mod cons ...we were most impressed.
I loved the detail in there & thought these swallows in their nest in the corner of the ceiling was a lovely touch.
Three good things:
1. A meal out tonight at The Cartford Inn so no cooking.
2. A good chance to have a nosy round a fantastic development.
3. My boots seem to be OK after their dousing in fat...not as good as new but salvageable.
I have been trying to comment but my computer is so slow tonight...might be me or the whole of the UK on their computers...will try again later...my apologies!
Glad your boots are OK but sorry they are not good as new. Very sweet swallows and nest. Enjoy your meal. (We have more lamb roast etc - but I don't think anybody is grumbling!)
@beryl@busylady It is a painting ...these little touches of art where all over the place. They had an owl on top of the clock too....not that many that they were over the top but such little finishing touches.
Having had swallows nesting just outside our back door, I can safely say these would not be real inside! The mess they make is incredible! Someone is a good artist in that place better than a picture on the wall and would go with a barn conversion!
