Party time tonight down our lane. The house on the left...number 7, is hosting our annual Christmas party.
Of the eleven houses down our lane nearly everyone attends if they are able, even Dorothy who lives in the thatched cottage you can see & is in her mid eighties goes.
We can all walk there so there is much drink as you feel inclined & even an odd hedge fallen into on the way home!!!
Sorry I am so far behind with my comments but the internet was so poor last night I could hardly do anything on the computer. The wind was so strong in the North West that even a waterfall in Cumbria started falling upwards!
Three good things:
1. A visit from my brother & SIL today.
2. I watched Oklahoma on the TV ....horrible orange lipstick & dire old fashioned dance routines but the music was a good as ever.
3. The wind has dropped!
O-O-O-Oklahoma .... Great stuff! Lovely picture of your lane, it sounds a marvellous community. Enjoy yourself - and make sure you choose a soft hedge and not a prickly one!
You have fun Pat, you are such a party girl! Things have slowed up here but am still eating truffles!! Even my wrists are looking tubbier, must take myself in hand next week!! This is a wonderful evening shot.
@tishpics Must say it wasn't me who fell in the hedge Patricia....I am much more sensible to do that although I think it was her high heels to blame mostly!! We all had a good laugh as she bent the road sign!
@lucypics Oh & you only look a slip of a thing Lucy...go on enjoy those chocs....truffles are the best specially those Lindt ones in pink paper! I plane to go on a wee diet after NY just to get rid of a few pounds....summer stuff to wear in February!
@quietpurplehaze He he Hazel...you would think I was very drunk if I took that...or perhaps you would think you were drunk!! I read it in the Daily Mail today!!
All these cottages are connected? Your house is separate though, isn't it? I remember ditch and hedge falling-into at one place we lived - in the semi country and the neighbours all had parties!
That looks like a lovely place to live. Way, way back in the years BC (before children) I was a dancer in a St Ives Amateur Operatic production of Oklahoma. I have very fond memories of it.
@jo13 Both! It used to be Champagne - one of our neighbours travelled a lot and couldn't resist the duty free. We could barely afford sparkling water so...... @happypat Not at the moment!!
