A walk along the canal path this afternoon...lots of walkers out blowing away the excess food & drink.
We called in at my friends house to see her husband whose birthday it was & was just in time for the present opening & a glass of good cheer.
One of his grandaughters had received a Furby for Christmas...how they have come on since the first ones came out year ago...still creepy though. All worked on an ipad now you can even take it to the loo & see the results!!!!
Three good things:
1. Almost everyone said hello as we passed them on our walk ....one young boy even said Happy Christmas....we are a friendly bunch in the North West!
2. No wind.
3. The turkey has all gone!!
Lovely shot, not sure what all that stuff is on the roof though? Also can't remember Furby's - can you remind me? We nearly had all the turkey gone - Imogen - aged 5 - locked dear Betty in the conservatory where she happily started tucking into our turkey! Thankfully Imogen came to tell us that Betty was eating the meat!
I should think they need all that wood on those boats in winter. Such an interesting canal with all the boats moored. We finished our turkey today as well!
@busylady The stuff on the roof is chopped up logs Judith,,they look like they lived in this boat...all decorated up for Christmas just a pity there wasn't a pretty tree up. Furbys were around about 15 years ago & are weird little creatures that have to be fed & looked after by the owner as if they are real......quite uncanny...they talk & react to your voice in a quite realistic way. The new ones have an app that brings a whole new world into a Furby life!!
Such a beautiful and tranquil scene but looks as if you are in for a really cold evening Yes Pat I remember the Furbies -- funny little creatures rather owl like with big ears !!
It does look cool and crisp for your walk!!! Those Furbies were odd...was glad my kids didn't have one!!! One of their frineds brought one over and left it behind the couch and when I walked by it started talking to me.....I had no idea it was even there!! Not a fan!!
I must look out for a furby! Never heard of them but one of our friends had a fluffy animal that rolled around the floor laughing! It was very contagious! Great to see these interesting boats with fireplaces!
A lovely scenic walk , they certainly look as thogh they have a good stock of logs to keep them warm. btw thank yo for your recent comments Pat ,sorry I haven't had time to make comments over the Christmas week , we now only have our granddaughter Beth with us she is staying for a few more weeks ,busy studying her law books. btw the road in Ludlow is usually busy two way traffic also cars parked, it is not very often that you can stand in the middle of the road to take photographs.
Yes, you can appreciate Taupo has everyone out walking off their excess food intake and all chatting away to each other. It's great to see families on holiday. I love that about Taupo and sensing happiness and relaxed atmosphere.
Have always thought I would like to go on a house boat one day 😊
