Moles. by happypat

Moles.

Not a lot to say about this photo really.
Silly subject but something about these mole hills on top of the river bank appealed to me.
Mini mountains!!

Three good things:
1. You can just tell a tiny bit that the days are getting longer.
2. The Saturday papers plus time to read them.
3. New photos by email of Finn & Max.
Made me smile - ah, yes the Sat papers, my next activity!

Pesky things, moles!

My i1st reaction was as Alison's @fueast --I am a mole and I live in a hole !! Ok !! are you sure they are mole hills !!or are they humped back camels walking on the other side --Sorry I an in a silly mood --great fun shot !!

Lovely minimalist photography. I love how evenly the holes are placed … we don't have moles here so I can contemplate their work with equanimity.

@beryl @fueast These mole hills are just appearing now ..the first ones I have seen this year....you are right they are a pain in the neck specially if they get on your lawn...I can tolerate them mush better now we aren't farming...the soil used to mess up the hay & silage. Someone used to come round on a quad bike & catch them for us, so much a mole !!

@snaphappi You are lucky Maggie....just checked you out & see you are NZ...should have known!!

This made me smile, the mole hills are so perfectly spaced out. They must be smart little creatures. Fabulous capture.

My daughter plays a game where she shouts "mole hill" as loudly as she can every time she sees them .
January 4th, 2014
Don't make mountains of them though!
Happy new year pat.

Would there be one mole that made these or a family? I'm glad we don't have moles! Don't have Saturday papers either but that's a choice! Hope you have escaped the nasty weather we are hearing about?
January 4th, 2014
Hehe, wonder if they're moles with OCD given the even spacing...?

Nice colours

Well seen! I like the way you have composed this too. Any mole on a river bank around here would need breathing apparatus at the moment!

Those moles have been hard at work, they do look like mini Mountains from the angle you have taken this shot

nice vibrant colours and a nice idea for a shot Pat :)
January 4th, 2014
Great shot, they sure are some pesky little animals.
January 4th, 2014
@barrowlane Ha ha I know what you mean Rob but this is a raised up river bank, as you can see it's much higher than the field.

Very abstract, love it :)

This is really a very cool photo, Pat. I love it! I'm amazed at how evenly spaced the mole holes are...almost as if they have a measuring tape. :)

Great shot!
January 5th, 2014
I HATE moles but this is a cool shot
January 5th, 2014
This is so funny. We don't have moles so they are quite alien to me
January 5th, 2014
They look giant!! Fun shot.
January 5th, 2014
Lol ...... super cool shot! and look at that beautiful blue sky! :)
January 5th, 2014
Such hardworking little creatures; happy 1000th shot too
January 5th, 2014
It makes a great photo

Hahaa - those are Fenland Alps!
January 5th, 2014
Look like little mountains indeed
