Polly put the kettle on

Harry went to visit his sister this morning & brought this red kettle back with him. She had been trying to get it to boil on the top of her wood burner but with no success.
We were luckier & it was soon boiling although we couldn't get it to whistle.
A day of almost constant rain so I was happy to not move from the fire. Have read my book. caught up a little with 365 & made a meal.
A pretty good Sunday I think.

Three good things:
1. Jogging bottoms for comfort.
2. Reading in bed.
3. Google.
A lovely homely scene and I seem to remember that you decked your kitchen out with red accessories for the winter. And now a red kettle - very nice.

That's a very cool retro kettle!

Maybe it's best that you couldn't get it to whistle. Those whistling kettles used to be like nails on a chalkboard for me years ago! Such a lovely homely view, Pat. So very inviting!

So cosy and homely looking Pat --I'd be very happy to curl up in a large comfy armchair in front of that fire !!

Love your 3 GT, especially the jogging bottoms!! Lovely shot with the red shiny kettle popping (if not whistling). Yes wretched weather, must check the week ahead.

What a cosy shot. We have a woodburner fire too, but it will be a while before ours is lit. Probably not until about the end of May before ours becomes operational.
