Beacon Fell in the mist....this young couple were holding their small boy on top of the stone marker which shows how many miles to places such as New York & Moscow.
I walked up here this afternoon with a friend & there was a real bitter wind especially among the trees on the way up to the top. I really wished I had taken my woolly hat!
Three good things:
1. Lydia has passed her driving test today...hooray!
2. A successful outcome at last with the phone company...we leave them without paying any cancellation fee.....hard going but I stuck my heels in & won in the end!
3. Some snowdrops out under the hedge.
Love this kind of scenes where you look down on creation !! Good for you -n digging your heels in with the phone company -- I didn't do anything about mine today --not in the mood -- have decoded to go to their shop when someone can take me !!!
@zenna@beryl Thank you both....sometimes it's better to actually face people Beryl...good luck to you! Must admit my problem was beginning to get me down....always someone different on the phone telling you conflicting things besides having to explain it all again!
Instant fav! Totally love the mistiness and the wonderful composition. After reading your description I'm a bit horrified about holding son on top of the marker, but I still think it's a fantastic capture. Well done, Pat!
beautiful shot Pat, almost letterbox too...well actually it is letterbox.....i might have gone even more letterbox with a tighter crop off the top :) ....it is beautiful though , with our without another crop...how many miles to New York :) ?
You are getting lots of exercise even in these cold temperatures! I always forget my hat, too and it makes such a difference! Nice misty look out here - you could be in the clouds!
Wonderful composition. I really love this one.
Go Lydia!!
A fav :D
