We have had to get the vet out today to look at Henry.
He hasn't looked too good over the last week so we thought he had better to be checked over.
Prognosis isn't brilliant....his lungs are old & not working too well, all down to his age of course.
He is now twelve years old & we aren't too sure how long sheep live left to their own devises.
The vet gave him two injections so we will watch closely how he does over the next few weeks.
We love Henry so we are hoping he bucks up!
Three good things :
1. Warm enough to have the back door open.
2. Lots of B&B in this weekend.
3. Jack has bought me a card reader so that I can download my photos from camera to iPad....it's brilliant!
Poor Henry, I think a sheep can live 10-12 years on average so he is an old boy. Bless him, he looks happy enough lying in the lush grass. Hope the injections do the trick. I hate it when an animal is poorly, it is such a worry. I am giving Henry a fav, he is lovely
@judithg from Amazon Judith about £12 called 5 in 1 card reader for iPad Air 4 & mini pad....Kiwibird...rather appropriately named we thought! Henry appreciates the fave!
Hope he perks up - love that his name is Henry! ;) I would love a sheep but not sure the city (or neighbours would allow it). I need one of those card readers. Each time I'm at the cottage I always want to see the pics on a bigger screen but have to wait until I'm at home. Will look into it.
I learnt that sheep normally live to 10 - 12 years except for some breeds like a Merino. I hope Henry has a successor? Lovely scene with those roofs in the background!
