Are you sitting comfortably?

I had to use this photo today as I was reminded of the programme Listen with Mother this morning.
On Classic FM they played the theme tune....Gabriel Faure's Dolly Suite.
For all non UK followers Listen with Mother was a fifteen minute programme on the radio which ran from 1950 until 1982 so a programme I remembered from my childhood & also spanned my children's childhood too.

Daphne Oxenford used to say at the start of the programme..." Are you sitting comfortably, then I'll begin.........."

This is my daughter sitting comfortably.

Three good things:
1. The classic FM app on my iPad so I can see the title of what's playing.
2. Another door finished!
3. A large G&T poured out ready!

This pose does give the impression of listening to the radio. We didn't have that program but had similar others. My mother used to do all the dusting in one room listening to a series of morning programmes. - for 1 hour!

Lovely and I can hear here now. Terribly posh. I liked the stories and all that Little cock robin business but not the posh singing! Reminds me of sitting on my grandma's knee - she did when I was three and I can't recall her face but I can recall her lap.

This is such a nice capture, such a restful and calm feel to it. I too remember the listen with mother music, it's such a reminder of my mother. I am instantly back in time when I hear it.
