The first time ever we have had anybody do the garden.
Vivienne has worked non stop for 9 hours today in the pouring rain. I have never seen anyone work so hard all in one go. She has clipped, weeded, chopped & cut her way through the undergrowth that had become our garden.
It didn't look too bad really as it's a shrubby garden anyway but the difference is remarkable !
Three good things:
1. Light through the shrubs!
2. A new lampshade for our bedroom.
3. The rain has all gone & hot sunny weather forecast for the next few days. I am going to sit in the garden & read my book.
Have had to change #3 weather might not be as dry as I thought.......thunderstorms on Saturday!
Look at all those black sacks! So she takes it all away as well? I am watering my neighbour's garden - I've never been in it before and it's amazing. Might have to take a few plant photos - not sure i can put a view of the whole garden on the internet without permission but it's full of flower borders.
@judithg she filled four green bins too Judith...I was ashamed! Cost us a bit but my word she earned har money! Will take a bigger picture when the sun comes out, perhaps with @busylady in the foreground ...if you are up for that Judith!!
Looks great! I wonder if doing someone else's garden is better than doing our own!
I spent last week doing stuff for Mum and have tried to catch up on my own this week. Hope you're feeling better Pat and have a nice time with @busylady tomorrow!
Well done Vivienne. It looks so neat and tidy--iits so good to have some help from time to time --I couldn't manage my garden --but am fortunate Gary is willing to do the lawns and any heavy work,
She must be young and strong! Good to have someone who actually picks up after herself! She's doing the edges here - it always makes it look so neat. Maybe a photo of the new nightshade ?
@maggiemae well we tried to,put the new shade up but the other has been up so long the plastic rim won't unscrew so I have to buy another one before we can put the new shade up. Harry wasn't so keen on the lawn degas done as he slips off them when he's on the ride on!!
@espyetta no MaryBeth she is re defining the concrete path that runs around the edge of the oval lawn.in a week or so when Harry has pushed the edges down wit the lawn mower it won't be as pronounced.
Hope you are resting up!! :)
