An okay photo for a Sunday afternoon I suppose but it's the only one I have. Lots of nice train station shots but thought I should post one that I actually took today.
I am watching the golf so have been very lazy indeed. @busylady & her husband Peter have gone home sadly, it was lovely meeting them both.
Three good things:
1. Good advice from Gary Player this morning: be happy, you have a choice, either happy or sad, choose happy. Rest enough but take exercise. Lastly the less you eat the longer you will live! As an eighty year old he showed us some amazing crunches & press ups he does every day, a very fit man!
2. Lovely feeling that I had company during the wee small hours, I posted a late photo and it was nice to see the comments coming in.
3. Trying to make my mind up whether to go on our monthly walk tomorrow, still good that I can even consider going!
Nice image .... the light in this is so fresh! I agree with the 'rest enough but take exercise' .... everything in moderation! You don't want to overdo it! :)
So Rory won? I like these sort of shots as they create lovely colours in the background. Your monthly walks are quite long, aren't they? I would go half way then turn back and read a book till the others arrived.
@maggiemae have checked it out & we go through the village of Newton near Slaidburn so I can wait there if I'm tired as they have to drive through that village on the way home. The weather is so lovely & brilliant countryside so will have a go I think.
This is fabulous, I just love that bright yellowy green - it's a fav! Thanks so much for being such wonderful hosts. you really made our stay with you extra special. We went to Tatton Park on the way home - loved the gardens and enjoyed the house too - despite all the opulence. Thank goodness it wasn't the RHS garden show this weekend! We hit terrific thunderstorms on the way home and very heavy rain.
@busylady sounds a very interesting visit Judith.......we haven't had any rain or thunderstorms here thank goodness. ....I have wasted the whole day of lovely weather watching the TV.....never mind I was happy with the result!
So lovely meeting you.....x
Lovely shot Pat.
I have browsed though your shots for this month and the one thing that stands out is colour. Awesome, bright colours that really stand out. Lovely to see, sorry I couldn't comment on each one as time is limited but great to see them all.
@stevecameras thanks for your feed back Steve...don't expect comments on all, I know how very hard it is to keep up specially when you get behind & you are working......don't know how you do it sometimes !
I do like to see the proper colour in a photo...once I have seen the colour version I find it so hard to convert to b/w but love it in certain photos & other peoples!
Yes, I'm coming round to the idea that (in our privileged world, at least, and as a general rule) one has a choice whether to be happy or not - it's a habit I think.
