Stormy skies

Another mixed day with terrific down pours & then bursts of sunshine.
A run of the mill day just mooching about. I went for the bread & then to the farm shop to get bacon & hash browns, then stayed in watching the Commonwealth games.

Three good things:
1. I think Garstang show would get away with the weather.......wasn't quite as bad as they said it would be.
2. A beautiful rainbow over the village tonight.....it just seemed to end right in front of me. Of course no camera in the car!!
3. Greengage plums...always look so sour but really sweet & juicy!

What a change in the weather it has been today , It did brighten up later in the day. I like this country scene with the cattle on the brow of the hill

It does look brooding and dark here - the solo tree makes a good statement! I love greengages too but you hardly see them around nowadays!

I love greengages! I was thinking about the show and hoped it wasn't to bad weather. Our show is 11th Sept it can do anything then but last year it was good. really nice shot of a brooding sky
