Kenmare fair day by happypat

Kenmare fair day

As you can see there were hundreds of tools for sale in Kenmare.
Rows & rows of chain saws, hedge strimmers, circular saws, socket sets....you name it there was one for sale. This is only a fraction of the stuff on sale, all up the sides of two streets!
I wouldn't have paid good money for any of it!!

Three good things:
1. Good news from NZ, our youngest son & wife have bought the farm they have been wanting...lots of hard work to get it right.
2. Five jolly ladies in for two nights.
3. A chat with my sister on the phone.
Wow, that's a lot of tools!! Not sure I'd trust the working order of them but there are probably lots of bargains to be had. Good capture,

I bet the men loved it! Peter would have been in his element, he can make anything work - well almost!

@busylady no Judith I haven't.......how strange! These computers they are ok when they are working....perhaps it's this site! Keep trying!

Really interesting shot! Don't suppose you treated yourself to a strimmer then?

@busylady meant to say, the men were all loving all these tools but I wouldn't like to vouch where they all came from!! Not just Irish in the sellers but all sorts of nationalities....the Kenmare shop keepers had been very wary of them & some had closed for the day.
All the stall holders were going on to Tralee for the next three days.

I wonder how many of them were stolen. I have seen police vans loading up with items like this at Boot sales.

Ooh my giddy Aunt !!!!!!! where have they got all these ? Shall keep my garden shed locked-up in future !! lol !

First class composition. You have captured the bustle and merchandise with wonderful clarity. In your part of the world it is a "strummer", in mine it's a "weed eater" and across the ditch in the land of OZ it's a "whipper snipper"!

@snaphappi he he Maggie all sorts of names then....you learn new things every day!
August 21st, 2014
How do they know they actually go? Imagine the noise if they all started up! Never seen anything like this!

Definitely a bloke market. My husband would be there for sure. He calls these kind of stalls 'bouncy castles for blokes'.
