I called in at the florist in Garstang today....thought I would buy some flowers for both daughter & niece. They are both feeling a little tearful today as their eldest children go off into the wide world to Uni.
Three good things:
1. Lydia has survived her marathon trek uphill & along the shores around Buttermere & beyond....very cold in the tent at night apparently though.
2. Jack rang mum wanting to know which box his Hawaiian shirt was in so all well there! Themed party last night so he wasn't sitting in his room being homesick!!
3. Our own eating apples & fit to eat off the tree.
What a super way to treat the family whatever the circumstances -- flowers always seem to fit the bill . It seems you have made the florist very happy too -- she couldn't believe her luck to have such a sale on a Monday morning ! She looks such a nice person !
@beryl she had to have the whole of the 365 project explained to her Berky! Was very willing to have her photo taken...she is smiling at her colleague on the other counter.
Your generous care (as ever) will be much appreciated! Love the photo...so nice to have smaller shops and they appreciate all the support from customers.
That empty nest feeling takes a long time to get used to but if the young people are well and happy it makes all the difference in the world.
