Had a lovely day today with my friend Dot.
First we went to a local village hall to take part in the morning programme from Radio Lancashire.
Foster & Allen were appearing, they are quite popular Irish singers who have been going a long time. There were some die hard fans there, you could tell!
My title has come from a song they sang:
Ah we all need a hug in the morning & one at the end of the day,
And many as possible squeezed in between to keep life's troubles at bay,
No matter where ever you ramble, or problems be great or small,
It is my belief that for instant relief, a hug is the best cure of all.
After that we had a lovely meal & glass of wine at Clevelys before tottering down the prom to the cinema. We watched Pride which was brilliant.....the third film in a row we have greatly enjoyed!
Three good things:
1. All the above!
2. Some lovely photos sent by email from our big grandson in NZ. Going to use one in my other album today.
3. Laughing
Sounds like you had a great day A lovely scene of a well tended event -- amazingly all older people -- but then the young ones would be busy at work or raising up their family !! and would say "who is F&A" !!!
I love Foster and Allen - soft voices and you can hear all the words! I would have thought the hall would not have been big enough! Hugs are good with family but I don't like hugging strangers!
