The tide was coming in at Clevelys .......I am nervous of the sea so I felt very brave as I got down to the waters edge to take this picture.
A filler today as I forgot to take my camera when I went out.
A bit short of time at the moment too & I am out tonight so very sporadic with my comments I'm afraid today.
Thank you all so much for taking the time & faving Armageddon yesterday.....I was pleased you liked it.
Three good things :
1. A solution to the open car windows yesterday.....if you press the locking button continuously it opens all the windows or the same with the opening button it shuts them......or is it the other way round? Anyway that was why they were open all afternoon.
2. Grass all cut & looking smart for a full house B&B this weekend.
3. Thornton Clevelys Amateur Dramatics with a friend tonight. Watching not doing!
@pinkpaintpot@anazad511@beryl thank you very much....it was even worse as I was looking through the view finder so couldn't actually physically see the sea only hear it coming in......occasionally getting splashed by water too!
Looks pretty rough... had some pretty rough seas here, a very tragic accident the other day Mt Monganui when a five year old boy playing on the beach got swept out by a rogue wave ... so sad..
Is that what these are - sea brakes as Beryl says? @beryl We need brakes on our coastline which is collapsing all over the place including a seaside road! Better iron that apron for the weekend!
There's nothing wrong with a good filler, Pat, and this is a good one. The sea has on its unfriendly face reminding us of its power and the treachery of rogue waves. A lovely shot which has captured some of your fear I feel.
Fabulous capture of the sea! Love the sense of movement you have captured. The only thing I don't like is that sort-of-centered pillar but, hey, it's still a fav for me! (maybe crop out some of the right side?)
@kwiksilver I think I should have aimed more for the side of it instead of being in the middle......I deliberately shot that water break as the waves were breaking over it. There are rows of these sea breaks all along the coast line here.
