Much colder today with some welcome rain this morning.
The autumn leaves are dropping quickly now & the garden is full of leaves .....almost wood burner time again.
I do like the cooler days....the smell of bonfires & time for boots.......I love boots!
Not a very exciting photo but taken today!
Three good things:
1. Apple seem to have solved the problem with uploading a photo from my iPad straight to 365.
2. A new very sharp kitchen knife.
3. Yorkshire pudding.
Yes I applauded my lonely muck boots today as I strode off through soaking wet sugar beet fields. Yes much colder, so much so I have been allowed to,have my beloved Aga back on!! I have to beg every year! Love this autumnal shot, I can smell the damp leaves
@lucypics agas are such friends.....mine is oil...an old one so not cheap to run but we do find we can last longer without the central heating on & it's invaluable for B&B.....would be so hard to keep things hot without it! I often think one of these new fangled ones that just tick over until you need them would be great but it's the heat all day I like ....gone soft! What colour is yours Lucy ...mine is a very pale blue.
Well, its lovely to see these autumn scenes from the other side when we are having spring showers and snow! I must buy some roast beef just so we can have yorkshire puddings or popovers (same recipe)
Lovely piles of leaves, they look wonderful. It brings back memories of walking through them with my little granddaughter and such fun kicking them everywhere.
Beautiful carpet of autumn leaves, but I used to hate having to rake them up when I lived in the UK. No wood burner for us for a few months now, but we have spent the morning chopping logs from our log pile ready for next winter. 26 degrees C here today and we have to chop the logs before it gets too hot.
Lovely - raking leaves is a never ending job at the moment. Must ask Nigel again if I can have a wood burner - my cause wasn't helped by a friend telling him he has to sit around in shorts when they light theirs!
