Uploading early today as I'm off for a brief trip to London.
Sorry for the almost non existent commenting at the moment...I haven't even time to look at your photos & am just posting to keep my project up to date, don't feel you have to comment!
On our walk least Saturday we saw this figure coming towards us & I thought it was an old woman with her dogs.
Turned out he was a monk which I thought was completely appropriate for the coffin route!
He was dressed in these long robes with a clerical collar & rosary beads round his neck....a pleasant smile & hello & three lovely dogs.
I took his photo from the front but in my haste not to be seen got the focus wrong & he was all blurry.
Re looking at this photo are there three dogs of four? That back one seems to be two...not sure.
Three good things:
1. Travel on trains,
.2. A warm kitchen on this wild wet morning.
3. Some really light scones with cream & jam that Lydia made last night.
I like the view from this angle - don't ever worry about trying to keep up with everyone's photos and commenting - this site is supposed to be fun, not a reason to worry! I think that you are correct in your first estimate of three dogs.
Lovely leaf clad pathway! He's a most unusual monk dressed in two shades of blue, isn't he? And I think the dog behind has either two heads or two tails!
How our eyes can deceive us -- to me this poor old soul was a woman with four dogs !! Lovely scene of the leaf clad lane Great pov Pat . Have a great few days in the Capital !
Well spotted. Is this the name of the lane that they actually took coffins down? He does look a strange figure. Don't worry about comments, I am behind again myself!
