Travelling home for Christmas......... by happypat

Travelling home for Christmas.........

We travelled home from Glasgow on this newly decorated Traindeer.
Virgin trains decided to paint the front of the train as Father Christmas's reindeer complete with red nose & antlers.
A design from a competition won by sister Ella & Ruby.
Great fun& a brilliant idea. The train is running until 9th January.

Out tonight at a travelling nativity performance complete with real donkey.

Three good things:
1. Alex is watching the second part of The Hobbit films in preparation to go & see the third one which is in the cinemas now.
2. I finished my present wrapping.
3. From today the days get longer! Summer is on its way!
What a fun idea

Love your creative shot Pat. Alex's parents must be loving these images of her time with you. My son said that the only way he can keep up with where I've been is through my 365 journal!

That's a great idea. I like the way that Virgin accommodate wacky things like that. Great fun

@busylady quite true Judith...I can't stop even if I wanted to do !! It's a great way of reminding me of what I have done too!

Cool shot of your neat train - really looks like reindeer hair! You certainly have been busy, and I agree, 365 is a neat way to keep a diary.

Very cheerful - took me a little while to work it out! (Too excited as my new camera is charging up!!)

I love seeing Christmas celebrated around the world on 365! It's good you included the window as it makes this much easier to understand.

Well that is a fun thing for Richard to do... Boo hoo that means our day's are getting shorter... haven't seen much of summer yet ..

Love your third good thing Pat. Not so bothered about summer as I am about gaining a little more light in the mornings. It would be useful to be able to see where I'm going when I'm walking the dogs. They don't seem bothered and just disappear but I can't even see my feet. Love the Virgin train I wonder if they did it on any other lines.

I love the picture with the window of a colourful interior within the train! She has a sweet face and is listening to Christmas music, I would think! Hope the donkey behaves!

@thistle no it's only the Virgin group run by Richard Branson on the west Coast line. There is talk of him taking over another line ....can't remember which.

What a great idea and a fantastic shot.

From today our days get shorter, but the good news is it doesn't get cold for about 6 months yet.
