My day by happypat

My day

Five loads of washing after my B&B motor cyclists last night.
A simply beautiful day as you can see, blue sky & quite warm....I can feel Spring in the air!
Harry & I have been changing beds, hoovering & getting all rooms ship shape again.
A new B&B in tonight & two more bookings today so people are thinking of holidays!

I was slacking with the commenting last night after my meal out so I have a bit of catching up to do!

I have had over eighty comments & 47 likes on my comment yesterday on Bomber Command so I have left the discussion as they are beginning to talk petitions........I think I should not have opened the flood gates!! The power of the Internet is rather scary!

Three good things:
1. A packet of wine gums left behind!
2. A visit from my goddaughter & her twins planned.
3. A had a good laugh this morning because as I was talking to Cathy our lovely son in law texted her to say that by mistake in the dark he had put her jeans on for work! We thought it was hilarious....her husband is a slim guy I hasten to add!
Great shot and sun just come out here

A delightful scene !! Nothing like bright white sheets blowing on the line - although no wind or sunshine here today !! just dull and drab !
You are one busy lady Pat and you seem to be thriving on it ! Love your third good thing ha ha !

Dull, grey and damp here Pat washing would not dry! Lovely to see yours against all that beautiful winter sunshine.
Love the story of the jeans.

A lovely day. I wish we could share the sunshine. Doom and gloom here. It's great to see sheets blowing in the breeze.

Lovely washing! Wouldn't have dried here - too mizzly. Hard work this B&B malarkey. I need to focus properly on holidays - I'm trying to get all of us away together but I'm not sure both offspring will agree to compromise on a date.

February 15th, 2015
@leananiemand @claireuk Funny how we call it hoovering still even though we don't use a Hoover! Thank you both for lovely comments!
February 15th, 2015
@thistle Son in law works at BAE so a bit of a man place...hope no one saw him! Quiet I would think at work today so he might have got away with it!
February 15th, 2015
@beryl I love seeing them blowing in the wind& the sun on them....all dried amazingly, makes life so much easier! The jeans story was funny!

February 15th, 2015
How lovely to see them in the outside I love fresh sheets with that smell that only the outside can give
February 15th, 2015
I had this image in my mind reading your text of Harry and you playing a sort of musical beds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
February 15th, 2015
@quietpurplehaze something like that Hazel....we are very co ordinated although Harry can't wait to do the hoovering & then his jobs are finished so he hoovered before I had re made some of the beds! We work quite well together & all, pretty much finished by lunchtime.....two doubles, twin beds & a camp bed put away.

White sheets must be back in vogue! I had heaps of coloured sheets, and ones with flowers on, stripes etc! What a lot of washing! You must have plenty of sheets not to have to wait for these to dry!. Not much wind I see!

Bep

February 15th, 2015
Send some of that sunshine my way pat!!
February 15th, 2015

February 15th, 2015
Great day for drying the washing
February 15th, 2015

February 15th, 2015
What a great day it looks to be. Happy wash day
February 15th, 2015
@maggiemae I have plenty of sheets....use all white to mix & match & they go with any decor...much simpler! No not much wind but enough, they all dried!

@gijsje @newbank @jennywren @chris17

The weather was beautiful....warm in the sun & not a cloud in sight! Hope it comes tour way tomorrow!
February 15th, 2015
@pinkpaintpot I have posted my washing line before Linda......just love it when it's all out & blowing a little in the wind!
February 15th, 2015
@digitalrn Thanks Rick.

What a busy day. So glad the weather is fine. You rebel you, fancy opening up a bag of worms on the Bomber Command website. Good for you. We are not responsible for what has gone before.

This is a very pretty and charming scene--unusual for me. I have early childhood memories of my mother hanging clothes to dry, but for almost everyone, it's home dryers or laundromats.
February 15th, 2015
@onewing I am slightly worried I might be black listed Babs...there are over 87 comments & nearly fifty likes.....all sorts of high up people are now having input! I should keep my big mouth shut!
February 15th, 2015
@cejaanderson Thank you Jane....I do notice now that washing hanging out is an increasingly rare sight, dryers are so expensive to run so I like to,put mine out. Different though if you are working as its so easy to bung them in the drier! I had a B&B lady in years ago who lived in a village near London which shall be nameless & everyone looked down their nose at you if you had your washing out....was completely the wrong image!

This could be an advert for OMO - or was it Persil? Stunning whites against the blue.
February 15th, 2015
