Well a great afternoon in the Lakes for me while Harry was at Kendal Auction Mart at his Speed Awareness Course.
The weather was gorgeous when we set off from home but deteriated as we got nearer the Lake District.
I climbed up to Orrest Head where it was quite cold & windy...I was glad I had my woolly hat!!
This photo was taken looking north as I climbed up to the top.......quite a climb it was too!
Three good things:
1. An afternoon on my own in the Lakes, not that I cant go on my own anyway but never do!
2. I took loads of photos which you will get fed up with!
3. Lots of walking!
You make me feel lazy - walking so much when its winter or near the end of! Good to have the incentive though, by being able to take good pictures. This hill with the sunlight looks dry.
So many different patches of colour plus the splash of sunlight. Lovely composition with the wall leading down the dip to the other walls and then looking up to the peaks.
@maggiemae@cejaanderson@jennywren Thanks to you all.....I was disappointed with the views of the Lake at the top....will post one tomorrow but the clouds were dark & the sun shining in the wrong place! Ian sitting on the sofa now eating mini chocolate eggs so undoing all the good!
@julzmaioro Yes he has....36 miles per hour in a 30 mile zone. It was originally 50 butbthey changed it last year to 30....a wide road the should be 40 in everyone's opinion Julz!!
