Sorting the sheep by happypat

Sorting the sheep

Harry has been to the hospital this morning to have more surgery on his chin. He had a melanoma removed a couple of months ago but they didn't get it all so back for further treatment today. Much more invasive this time & up near his lip but he's OK if sore.

When we arrived home they were sorting the sheep....not sure what for but I would imagine feeling if they were fat enough. The guy with the tin has a spray which he is using to mark them with.
This is just over the wall from our back door!

Three good things:
1. Painkillers.
2. A lovely sunny Spring day.
3. Sample paint pots.
Oh my...I'm so sorry Harry had to have a second surgery, bless his heart. Hope the surgeon got it all this time and that your Harry will have a speedy healing!!
This is such a wonderful shot of the action in the neighboring lot. Some of the sheep seemed to have spotted the lady with the camera. ☺

Looks busy but sunny! Trust all is well with Harry?

@peggysirk thank you Peggy....Harry is ok but his face & mouth are very swollen tonight...he's had to eat his mince with a teaspoon! Six stitches so quite a chunk out of his face but he will be ok when all healed. I think facial wounds like that heal pretty quickly, we have a funeral of a neighbour tomorrow but doubt he will be going!
@helly31 as above Helen....he had a brown mark on his chin for ages which changed & turned out to be a melanoma. Had it removed but they didn't take enough so this time we hope it's a success! Thank you for asking.

Another nice shot of men at work. You have captured all of the colour and action without that lovely sheepy smell. Hope Harry recovers quickly.

John has one on his nose that was removed before but grown again. He is waiting for the operation to happen. Its good that they keep in touch. I'm surprised Harry can eat anything except ice-cream? Or sip some soup, perhaps? These sheep have great fleeces - good to know in that bitter winter weather over there!

@snaphappi Thank you Maggie, I will tell him!

@busylady I will Judith thanks......early days yet so he looks a mess but all will be well.

@maggiemae Well perhaps he should just have had ice cream because he made it bleed again, they had cauterised it to stop the bleeding at the hospital. Sorry John's has grown again but good they are keeping an close eye on him.

Fav for the sunlight and the lovely detail in the coats of the sheep. All good wishes to Harry, how unpleasant to have to go through that a second time.

So kind of you all to be so concerned about Harry....he says to say thank you. Pretty sore tonight but it's thecswelling that's worst......the sound it self although large is very neat so I think once the bruising & swelling go down he will be fine! Not bothered about a scar any our ages just as long as it's all gone. The outdoor life he has led hasn't helped of course but all of you watch that sun!

March 11th, 2015
This photo reminds me of the time I was working on a sheep farm in Derbyshire , So sorry to hear about Harry he is having a bad batch

Hope you went out and told them off for letting them get tangled up. Poor an arty - Nigel had a squamous cell carcinoma removed from his head - they sent him to plastic surgery as they said he would have a permanently surprised expression otherwise! Harry's will be from being outside all his life - Nigel puts moisturiser on with factor 15 in it - it's ironic as his family are terrible sunworshippers but he isn't.

That was supposed to say Poor Harry!
