This is Willow sleeping on Lydias bed.
Funny how cats know exactly where to lie down!
Three good things:
1. I think I like the new paint colour going on our bedroom walls.
2. Photographs from NZ showing how Anthony & Jo's new house is rising from the ground...the roof struts are on now!
3. A long talk to Brian this morning & hearing all their news.
So like a cat to find the best place. Actually my dogs are pretty quick to make themselves comfortable as well!. I was thinking today what a difference Skype must make for you with so much of your family in NZ.I remember the days when you had to book a 'phone call for a certain time and take out a bank loan to pay for it.
@beryl@beryl@newbank@pandorasecho Yes it was the Hug message that attracted me.......thank you all. I have only managed to paint one chimney breast today as I was talking on the phone so long & I wanted to be clean & tidy for the B&B guests tonight. I was dying to see what two coats looked like!
I wonder what goes on in their heads - where shall I lie today? I presume your conversations are on Skype - I remember one time there was going to be video telephones on the market. Why bother with Skype and FaceTime around now!
Such a sweet shot of Willow. The lighting is so warm and cozy. And the Hug Me blanket is adorable...and perfect for this photo.
So glad you are liking your new paint color! Always a good thing when no repainting is required.
@maggiemae No just the ordinary phone this morning Maggiemae....no children to watch so,we just talk on the phone. We could do FaceTime too I suppose but it's fine on the ordinary phone.
@peggysirk It was the blanket that took my eye first & then noticed Willow sitting there! The paint is called Purbeck Stone which is quite a modern look but a bit of a change from green. I am more ambitious with colour than Harry who likes pale light colours whereas I like richer colours. He has much more say now he is retired not always a good thing!!
Is it Farrow & Ball paint? I googled the color and LOVE it...it looks like a very clean shade of grey. Very similar to the color of my master bathroom...and I'd like to do the bedroom the same color. Mine is Valspar Paint's Graystone Flats.
Cats are definitely so smart. Debs cat Chloe finds all the best places at their house. She has to compete with 6 kids, Deb and Simon, two chickens and a dog, but always comes up with the best spot.
@peggysirk yes it is Peggy, it's not as dark as I thought it would be but I think I like the bit I have done. I googled your paint, loads of lovely colours...more choice in each colour palette tha F&B but I couldn't find your colour!
@happypat Ha ha. we had a neighbour who had a cat who used to visit us in one of ourn houses in the UK and he always headed for the back of the gas central heating boiler. We had to turn off the heating on more than one occasion as we smelt singeing fur, but he wouldn't come out until it cooled down.
Love the Hug me blanket. Ours always heads for Rachel's if the door is open which it usually isn't (shame because the view from her window is lovely) - she isn't allowed as she makes Rachel wheeze so of course that's where she wants to be!
Lovely lovely! How nice to have the Hug me rug on the bed too. You're doing so well with all your redecorating, but I know the feeling of 'nothing important when the far away folk are on Skype' !!
So glad you are liking your new paint color! Always a good thing when no repainting is required.
