A friend & I went out for lunch today to The Cartford Inn.
It turned into a long afternoon...I was shocked to see the time was 16.31pm when we came out to the car ....we got there at 1pm!
Very enjoyable it was too!
Three good things:
1. Conversation.
2. Plans for a day out in Liverpool.
3. Help from a neighbour with an office task on my computer........I know nothing about office stuff & files etc!
Jack was a legend in Little Eccleston....a man of rhyme & song....he sadly died a couple of years ago. The Cartford was his local where he spent much time with his wife Patty.
Fame indeed when you have your name on the wall in your local!
I recognise this place and its nice to see it again - bings back a happy memory! We had a local man of rhyme too and sadly he died a year ago - not that old either! But we still revisit his poems.
What a great memorial! One day when I get time I'm doing a day out in Liverpool. My great great grandad was a sailor out of there another was a merchant sailor and my great grandad was a police and fireman and the museums look really good.

Thank you all. This is the pub that George Clooney visits while in our area.
Just reading what you have written here and you think my life is hectic!
