Along the Hodder River there were places where the water had obviously risen to quite a high level. These tree roots looked very intricate and exposed.
I am tired today after our long walk yesterday so having a quiet day doing nothing much.
Saying that the phone has never stopped ringing about B&B & various stuff.
Three good things:
1. I have beaten the Sky people down for our monthly contract!
2. A talk to my sister on the phone who is sounding lots more like herself after her recent ill health.
3. Listening to grandson Jack playing the guitar on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGhwE9oIpUU
I did try to add the whole video as a post today but I didn't have any luck getting that to work!
Intricate root patterns ! -- these trees have been here a long time Pat and have well established root system and is not going to give up to the elements vey easy ! Glad you have the chance to rest today after your long walk yesterday !
Great image. I have just listened to Jack - what a talented young man and an extraordinary recital - a big fav. You must be so proud of his achievements!
Lovely photo.....it amazes me how shallow the roots of some great trees can be.....and it's often not till they come down that we know!
Loved the guitar music on your FB link. He is so enjoying it too!
If you changed this to a dark B&W or charcoal it would look like a Durer! These trees are so strong and will not be swept away! Have now subscribed to Jack after listening to him! He looks so young!
Beautifully composed and shot. It seems not to matter that there are two trees (even numbers) because the spaces number three and eye is drawn through to them. I guess every rule is made to be broken.
Nice shot of the roots. Hope the tree doesn't topple over being so exposed.
Just listened to the link. a very talented chap. I see he plays the piano too. He has a few things on YouTube
