Beatle

I took quite a few photos when I was in Liverpool & short if time today so I am using them up.
It was quite intriguing to see the area where The Beatles hung out even though I dare say it looked a bit different all those years ago.

Amazing the different requests we have had concerning our rental property. We have had enquiries if we allow dogs, cats, Shetland pony, quails & this morning Chinchillas!
Someone wanted to dig a new flowerbed on the lawn so his daughter could grow sunflowers!!

Three good things:
1. Lydia & Beth battled through blizzards & eventually got back......I was shocked at the photo they took through the windscreen.
2. Empty ironing basket.
3. Avocado & tomato on toast.
I remember it back in the 80s Pat, when it was a ghost town! Now it's like the Wild West on a Friday and Saturday night.

Terrific depth and candid action here.

@seanoneill I don't know Liverpool at all Sean but it certainly was not a ghost town.....time changes places dramatically doesn't it?

A neat street scene. Yes there has been a real cold snowy spell hit central North Island so they did well to get through. Now where to on their big adventure. Sunflower sound the safest option there. And did you learn the avo and tomato trick over here.

What a great street shot

@happypat definitely Pat, I lived there in the days of Boys from the Black Stuff and the mad council!

@julzmaioro I can't remember where I had advocdo & tomato the first time....could easily have been in NZ. Lydia took an Instagram photo of them travelling in a que with the road covered & snow coming down.. I think it must have been just before they stopped at Taihape. Scary!

Great street shot.

Interesting shot. It sounds as if your prospective tenants are part of our society where everyone expects to have exactly what they want!!!

Nice courtyard type street here for walking and no vehicles. I would have to say these tenants are really cheeky asking for these sort of things. Being tenants they might not be there for too long and then would leave behind them all the results! Avocado and tomato are divine on toast!

@maggiemae Exactly Maggiemae, we have said no to all!

@quietpurplehaze Well it's very difficult Hazel.....glad others have thought it's a bit much...we have felt a bit fussy saying no but we picked the estate agents we did because of that reason, to good tenants that we can live next to happily.

Excellent street shot, Pat. Love the sense of pilgrimage the crowd gives and the street winding back out of the frame.

Great street scene

a nice vibrant street feel to this shot pat

I suppose every street in Liverpool claims to be the home of the Beatles!
August 10th, 2015
oops ps I love your street shots. You are very good at capturing the whole moment.

Wonderful city life scene in an iconic spot

@kwiksilver This is the same street that The Cavern Club is on Gillian.

Another great street shot Pat. What interesting requests you have had for your property! I hope you said no to all of them:-)

LOL, the time does go by quickly

@thistle We did Joyce....felt a bit picky but encouraged by all of you saying the same!

Great street shot! Love avocado and tomato!

I SO want to go to Liverpool. I need to just commit to it some time but we hardly ever get up North and then there's family to see first. So which of these requests do you agree to Pat?!
August 11th, 2015
@judithg None of them Judith...we ate being very fussy! There is a really nice couple but he is a heavy smoker...promised to smoke outside but it still gets on your clothes so we aren't too keen on that either! Oh dear it's hard work! Decorator is in tomorrow.

I think you are very wise to be fussy when you will be living right next door. The right ones will come along eventually. wonderful street shot

We have just got a buy to let in Harborne in Birmingham. Slightly panicking about not being able to let it. We bought it with some furniture and the letting man sort of sighed and said unfurnished would be better - now they are saying there are sharers who want furniture putting in! I don't want to sell the stuff in case Rachel moves in next year and I don't want to buy loads more as I suspect it probably would be better unfurnished. We'll see what the feedback is after the first few views!
