Chimney pots & sheep by happypat

Chimney pots & sheep

I love chimney pots for some strange reason......some houses have magnificent tall ones, I didn't think these were too bad against the cloudy sky!
A typical November day.

A very Happy Thanksgiving to all our American friends!

Three good things:
1. Quick drying water based paint.
2. Pointless
3. A glass of Merlot.
Great silhouette shot. Love that tree onthe left.

Love the tree shapes and silhouettes - and the sheep on the horizon of course.

Great silhouettes, a super shot. Fav!! 😃

Really like the silhouettes, love chimneys too. This has a November feel., almost expecting smoke from the chimneys from the winter fires. Only thing better than a glass of Merlot is two glasses!

Just tucked over the hill, this cottage - I like photos where you have just a hint of the subject and have to imagine the rest! Grey wintry looking scene!

This near-silhouette is very appealing. Love the contrasts.

I love chimney pots too, but prefer gin and don't like pointless!

Nothing like a nice glass of merlot! ....... love the silhouettes :)

@jennywren smoke would have been good Jen!

@countrylassie Gin is better for me as I can't drink much wine but a bottle opened that needs drinking up! We love pointless!

@maggiemae Would have liked a wee bit more separation of subjects but ok for a quick shot! Was trying to show something a bit more original than my usual predictive shots!

Thank you all ladies, was going to answer individually but run out of interesting things to say plus something really interesting on to about farming!!! You are so good to keep commenting!

Lovely image Pat!! A grey old November day indeed!! We love Pointless although I would be useless on it as I can never remember things quickly enough. My sister and I are always saying we know what letter the word/person's name begins with but can't remember the answer in time!! LOL!!

Lovely shot. I love chimney pots too, but they are very hard to find here. Not too many old buildings where I live, you have to go to the cities to see old buildings.

Beautiful silhouette shapes here. So nice of them to lign up all looking in the same direction like this.

@pamknowler Same here in our house but it's good to be able to answer a few!

Well captured

Love it. It immediately reminded me of Tintagel when walking down the path by the church, the first glimpse of the hostel is the chimney appearing over the hill. That was nearly thirty years ago.

It is such a lovely composition with the silhouetted sheep and chimney pots against that great sky. Super b&w

Three chimneys, three sheep and three trees. I like it a lot
