A brisk walk along the Millenium Way after my appointment at the bank this morning.
A bit muddy in parts but it was a lovely sunny morning to be out & about.
The Millenium Way is an area of walks & green open spaces constructed & planted in the year 2000. Lots of dogs out this morning having a meet up & a constitutional.
You can walk as far as the village of Scorton or cut off at various paths to different areas of Garstang. The River Wyre runs along the edge of the path & the Dipper is a regular sight.
Three good things:
1. I have set up a credit card that charges no commission or charges to use when I am abroad. When you are on holiday for a few weeks the bank charges can really add up!
2. My little trainee midwife who stayed last night is quite happy for me to leave her bed until she comes back on Sunday evening.
3. I forgot to take my camera today so I am happy that this iPhone photo turned out so well!
@quietpurplehaze those were the days! Just machines everywhere these days, I hate it! We have to do all the work paying in etc & they still close banks! I actually set up for Internet banking too. Hope it's easier to manage than the HSBC bank....I am talking Nationwide.
That sun looks as if it would be warming. A lovely walkway and flat - my type of walking! iPhone photo is so good and takes up much less space than an ordinary camera!
@maggiemae Yes happy to see the sun.....muddy to but I had my walking shoes on. I am surprised the photo came out so good, just think what an iPhone 6 would be like!

Thank you all for sweet comments....I was cross with myself when I realised I had forgotten to put camerain bag.....almost went back but now I know all can be saved!
A beautiful iPhone capture, Pat! The quality of phone photos is really remarkable. Such a beautiful area for a walk. That little Dipper is precious...he almost looks artificial. Not familiar with this species. Apparently there is an American Dipper, but their habitat is along the west coast.
Your walk looks far more interesting than mine! lol Lovely photo!
I had my "big" camera with me just in case but I am trying to just do phone photo's this month. :)
Lovely shot, it does look muddy in places, hope you were wearing your wellies.
We are still very posh here in Australia. If we have an appointment at the bank we get to speak to a real person and sit in an office too. @quietpurplehaze
Don't get a cup of tea though. Might suggest that next time we are juggling money between accounts. haha.
@jgpittenger a wonderful profesional Jane! You must have enjoyed it. In my day you trained to be a midwife after doing your SRN nursing training for three years but these days it's a completely separate course.
@happypat I had a BA and then went back two more years for a BS in nursing and then two more for a Masters in Nursing and Nurse Midwifery Certification!
Shucks, I thought it was at least the bank manager in striped trousers!!!!!!!!
We are with them - Ray does all the banking so I can't say if it's easy or not!
