Trainers & graffiti

Hosier Street in Melbourne & a great street for graffiti.

The dangling trainers are a sign that drugs are available here I believe. They certainly add to the general racy feel this Melbourne lane way has.

Many thanks for all your good wishes regarding my fall downstairs yesterday.
I am ok but my foot & ankle are very swollen & will be black & blue before long.
It shook me up & I was very shivery & cold all day.
I am resting it, taking painkillers & generally doing as little as possible.

The new camera is the same as my old one except a later model, Olympus PL6.
Jack found it on eBay at a really good price. Just the body only as I already have different lenses plus a viewfinder.
The good news is now I have a spare battery which are really expensive to buy.
I haven't taken any photos yet with it as have not felt up to it.

Three good things:
1. The perfume from the Hyacinths on the kitchen table.
2. I can get my trainers on, just!
3. Trainers & drugs in our house too but the painkilling variety!
Super find and capture.

Interesting! How on earth did trainers and drugs come to be associated in this way?!

I agree about the dangling trainers being a sign for drugs, personally I would find the stench from the trainers a knockout and therefore wouldn't need the drugs. Great graffiti.

You would think one pair was enough. It must be a Australasian thing perhaps. Very colourful shot. Take care.

♥ the trainer shadows on the ground.
oh poor you - hope swelling and bruising don't last too long. I ♥ that you can still think of three good things to add at the end.

Love your Melbourne shots, Pat! It looks like such a wonderful city. Every time I watch the Australian Open I think the same thing. So fun and vibrant.
Love your three good things. Nothing like the fragrance of hyacinths...the essence of springtime. Hope your ankle is feeling a bit better. A good sign that you can get a shoe on your foot!

Still think you should see a doctor in case one small bone is broken! You would be cursing as it is so debilitating not being able to get around! I don't know about the trainers stuff - there is a house down the road with a fence covered in trainers - 100's of them! Maybe a house of ill repute!

@maggiemae yes I think I might go Monday as the foot has swollen tonight & it's going very blue but have managed fine today hobbling about the house. Don't go to any parties in that house!!

@peggysirk Well I don't think I can tonight Peggy! It's more swollen than yesterday! Going to a dinner dance tomorrow night ha ha !

Lovely, colourful shot. I always wondered about trainers slung over electricity wires.

Love it, The lanes in Melbourne are fantastic and you get lots of photo ops there. Hosier Lane is my favourite.

Great graffiti Pat. Lovely colourful shot. What were you doing falling downstairs as soon as you got home!. I hope you're feeling better in yourself and the painkillers are working. Don't be too brave if it is still really painful it might be worth an x-ray Take care

hope you are on the men now Pat. I'm sure climbing stairs keeps you healthy but I am glad we only have four in our split level house. Must check out Hosie Street next time I am in Melbourne. Didnt know the story about the trainers
