Dustbins

Another Hosier street shot......I think this one is my favourite!

Well to all you kind folks that told me to go to A&E you were right I have broken my ankle!

They had to cut up the leg of my newish White Stuff trousers!

Such a nuisance & crutches are so hard to manage!
I have to go back on Monday morning to be re plastered so am hoping they will put me a weight bearing cast on but I doubt it unfortunately.

Supposed to be going to a dinner dance tonight but it depends how I go on getting ready wether I make it or not! I want to go, so here's hoping!

Three good things:
1. A good daughter who pushed me into letting her take me to hospital.
2. We were in & out of A&E in two hours!
3. Kindness.
Poor old you, so sorry to hear that the ankle was actually broken but glad you allowed yourself to be bullied into going to A & E! Love your grafitti shots,

I was going to remark on this photo using my new voice activated software since I broke my arm. But then I read your text and you have a broken ankle! I certainly hope you got meds when they were setting it, because in Italy, I got no meds, no sedation, no anesthesia when getting my broken bones set. Here's to good healing for both of us! Oh, and back to my original intent in commenting here, I like how the graffiti completely surrounds the photographers.

So glad you went to A &E and so sorry it is broken. Hope you're not going to be in plaster for too long. It does get so frustrating and inconvenient! Did they supply you with painkillers? Hope you're not suffering too much. Love this graffiti shot Fav. Enjoy your dinner and watching the dancing!! Take care and restxx

Ooh , Pat !!! So very sorry to hear this and so glad your daughter persuaded you to go to have it seen to at hospital -- sorry about your White Stuff trousers !! but more important your ankle ! Hope you will manage the dinner dance tonight - -- this shot is very colourful and every thing is engulfed with the graffiti ! - super !
April 9th, 2016
Oh no Pat! Wish you a speedy recovery. Good to see it's not stopping you from taking good photos. Love the colours
April 9th, 2016
Not good news Pat! Good job that you were 'made' to go to A & E - speedy recovery!
April 9th, 2016
That would have been a frightful fall you had down the stairs! I can just imagine it! Glad you went to A&E and have got the plaster on. The sooner the better. Now there will be different exercises to do every day.
I find this alleyway a bit much - different and some would like it!

Oh no, sorry to hear you've broken your ankle! I do hope that that can give you the weight bearing cast so that you can get around a bit easier!

Fabulous street art shot!

Oh no, sorry to hear your ankle is broken Pat. What a bummer. I only had back slabs when my ankle was broken because I had to have surgery to Meccano it back together again. Luckily the hospital gave me a 4 wheeled walker instead of crutches as I couldn't put any weight on my ankle. Much easier to manoeuvre around the house with the walker. Hope you aren't 'plastered' for too long.
Great shot of the lanes.

Oh goodness, so sorry to hear your ankle is broken. These things can happen so easily but just as well you got "encouraged" (forced!) to have it checked out. I hope you still manage to get to your dinner dance.

What am amazing street - so colourful - even the wheelie bins are graffiti'd.

Sorry to hear about your ankle Pat. Lets pray for a fast healing
April 10th, 2016
What a bummer. May it heal fast. Glad you got it tended. Great colorful, shot
April 10th, 2016
love how the graffiti is all around. just as well you waited till you got home to break your ankle. Hope it doesnt give you too much pain or trouble. Are you going to be able to manage your stairs
April 10th, 2016
OH NO! I am so sorry to read that it turned out to be a break, Pat!!! So good that you took the advice of others and had that checked out. I would do some serious lobbying for a weight bearing cast when you go in tomorrow. It will make your life so much easier. I would explain that you have stairs to manipulate and that would be so much more difficult/impossible with crutches. Sending good vibes your way for a very fast and problem free healing!! How are you going to manage the B&Ber's that you have on your schedule?
Had to go scroll back and look at your photo again...the news of your broken ankle took precedence. Love the shot! So bold and energetic!
Oh, also so sorry for the damage to your trousers. Is there any way you can make them into capri length pants?
April 10th, 2016
@peggysirk will do Peggy, I am struggling so much with the crutches. My arms are aching & my tummy is sore with all the differ movements I hVe to make. Harry will do the B&Bs, two tomorrow in for three days are regulars & will be very obliging. Ditto my little trainee midwife on Thursday & I have a family of four in for two nights at the weekend. They have been many times & say they will help all they can. After that it's pretty quiet except for regular two & I won't take any more until I'm fit again. Will ask my dress alterer to repair trousers!
April 10th, 2016
Oh no - a shame you have a broken ankle, but so lucky that it didn't happen while you were away. Great that Harry can do the B&B and that you have regulars booked in. Best wishes.

Barry to hear about your broken ankle Pat. That must have been very painful falling down the stairs. Jet lag can make you feel totally spaced out. I came back with a shocking cold and very sleep deprived! We didn't get to see the graffiti area of Melbourne when we visited, shame, it looks amazing from your photos.
April 10th, 2016
very cool in a disturbing way.
April 10th, 2016
Oh my goodness what bad luck to break your ankle after such a lovely holiday. Yes you def need a weight bearing plaster. Great capture of the graffiti.
April 10th, 2016
Really great graffiti shots ... and again so sorry about your ankle!!
April 11th, 2016
You poor thing - thank goodness you decided to go to A&E. It seems not so long ago that you were looking after Harry on crutches and now it's his turn to look after you.
Just looked at the photo again - all the graffiti makes for a wonderful photo.
April 11th, 2016
What a great shot - looks awesome on black! The colours pop off the page. Good catch.
