Out for lunch by happypat

Out for lunch

I noticed in NZ & over here in the UK that there is a great cafe culture developing everywhere.
Cafes serving coffee, cakes, healthy meals, larger meals, I believe by the time the 2020's are here no one will be cooking everyday meals & most of us eating out three quarters of our time.

Three good things:
1. Lunch out today with friends.
2. I picked my new glasses up this morning.
3. The optician recommended a book which I am enjoying.
A lovely looking venue for your meal out Pat -- hope you had a lovely time and that your new glasses are to your liking !

Has the optician's recommendation got large print?! Yes, more ;people eat out than when we first got married - not enough cash then!

Interesting beams in this cafe! Hope that thats not the case, Pat- cafe meals are so calorific and people won't be able to sit in a seat on the bus if that happens!

Great image. What's the name of the book? I have just read The Butcher's Hook which was a bit gruesome in places.

@dide it's called Fallen Idols Dianne, by a guy called Neil White who lives locally to us. A thriller which is not my usual genre but am enjoying it!

I look forward to the day when I don't have to cook - it's not something I enjoy. This looks like a very nice place to have a coffee. Talking of glasses - did you ever find the ones you lost when we all met up in Hamilton?
