Big steps forward today as I managed to get a trainer on my foot for the first time since I broke my ankle.
We went into Blackpool for some bits & pieces & I bought a pair of wedge shoes for the wedding. I did think about buying some silver trainers or similar to wear with a long dress But now I have the option of choosing long or short. They aren't too high & have adjustable strap at the back so can wear loser on my left foot.
A rather wet miserable Blackpool with the Winter Gardens in the background.
Three good things:
1. A change of scene & streets to walk in.
2. M&S stir fry for our evening meal.
3. So glad to see my chair when I got home, I was worn out & ready for a sit down.
looks unusually deserted, glad you got sorted but flats may have been better? !!! I have been in flats for years because of my back, but glad to do so :)
Looks like Top Shop is closed, never bought from them because they had a warning speaker as I approached, "Fat women approaching". Doors always shut in front of me. Glad you are getting out and about.
Yes - you can tell that it is raining but the rain makes everything glisten!
Looks like a great place to window-shop.
So happy that you are getting out and about - take it easy though - don't want to do more damage now!
Looks cold as well as wet! Hope it improves by the time we arrive! I heard Britain was going to have a hot summer! Take it easy with your outings - at our age if we don't use it we lose it!
A lovely shot despise the rain -- glad it didn't dampen your spirits and you got a pair of wedge shoes ! Hope you have your feet up now for the rest of the evening !
Love the rainy day character/feel in this shot, Pat. So good that you found workable shoes for your upcoming event. Who knew the trials and tribulations that would befall you on that fateful day with your rush down the stairs to greet your new camera. 🙁
It looks a wet and dreary day in Blackpool. So glad you have managed to get some shoes for the wedding. Silver trainers sound like a great Plan B though.
Love all the old buildings leading to the Winter Gardens. Glad you've managed to get a trainer on - sounds like your physio and exercises are working and wedges are very optimistic.
