The other end of the street as I turned around yesterday in Lancaster.
There used to be a water fountain here in the middle of this square, now you can see there is just a raised platform used I believe for staging events.
It was always a great meeting place for the Lancaster University students who sit there chatting & meeting friends.
Three good things:
1. Very quiet building men next door, they surprisingly didn't even have the radio on for the football this afternoon!
2. Massive juicy strawberries.
3. Looks like the end of the rain for a few days, we have had massivly heavy showers today & ive had the washing in & out twice. High pressure arriving now allegedly!
What a lively scene!
Ah,yes! The clothes going through their rinse cycle on the line. Been there, done that!
But they smell and feel so good when they do finally dry!
Now I love this photo! I would give it to a group of children and ask them to find interesting things in it! There are so many! Its a nice quiet shot and good colour contrasts! fav
@maggiemae Thanks Maggie my camera is taking different sort of photos I think they seem finer & smoother somehow, no idea why or if it's all in my mind!
a lovely scene Pat. Everyone looks glad to be out in good weather. I have to use the dryer in winter otherwise, unless its windy, the clothes just hang cold and wet.
Nothing stays the same for ever does it. Pity the fountain has gone.
As your weather is improving ours is promising to deteriorate over the weekend. I believe another east coast low is on its way. Hope we don't lose power.
I enjoy your description, Pat, and especially your comment about not listening to football. I so wish the rest of mankind could learn from that instead of using it as an excuse for mindless violence bringing disgrace on their country!.

Your weather looks the same as ours. Heavy rain sometimes.
Mine is now in the tumble dryer! Glorious June!!
