One of my favourite shops in Garstang.
A large variety of shoes for sale, clothes for men & women & she always has a really good sale tie wards the end of the summer & winter.
You can see how lovely this shop is turned out in the summer with all the lovely flowers in window boxes.
Taken on market day in Garstang.
My comments on my photo yesterday to mark such a momentous day in the UK were surprisingly out on a limb from the rest of the 365 family, I was very surprised to be on my own in my decision for leave. Just shows how passionate we become over such subjects & how diverse ouur reasons.
Serves me right for bringing the subject up but as my project is a diary of my year I wanted to register which way I had voted.
I talk too much!!
Three good things:
1. Lovely B&Bers in tonight.
2. Corn bread from the bakery.
3. Other opinions to make you think!
You shouldn't say 'serve you right'! It is your right to have an opinion and should always be respected! This photo is as good as I am seeing in Wales at the various villages! White-washed walls and roses!
A super street scene. I voted out, too, Pat. I have family in Greece, and seeing the suffering of the Greek population, I couldn't in all honesty, vote in, too much dominance from Germany
I feel I've joined you shopping in Garstang over the last 3 days! As to your comment you 'talk too much' - isn't it wonderful that we have free speech in our country and can express our views ... and accept and respect those who differ. Good for you in speaking out!
I love street markets especially on a sunny summer' day when you can brows and meander around the stalls at leisure ! A lovely country town scene Pat with the buntings flying and the window boxes full of geraniums !
Great street scene. Good to have a good shop handy.. our little town is lacking these sort of shops now been taken over from by $2 and takeaways. Our jewelry shop has just closed after about 80 years.
@carolmw Crikey Carol there are two of us!! My reasons were t for the immigration thing but the state of Europe at the moment....just as you say unemployment, weak euro & we cant make our own decisions!
Your photos are a fascinating diary of life where you live and I love to read all your stories. We're all different so it doesn't matter at all that we have different views. I have enjoyed the feedback I have received about the referendum. I hope this shop didn't get caught in a storm like the one we had today. No rain at all here until about 7pm , then whoosh, what a storm!
What a lovely inviting shop. The flowers in the window boxes really draw your attention to the shop.
Britain has survived two world wars, I am sure it will survive this latest hiccup without too many traumas. Whichever side you are on, this is the reality and everyone has to just take a deep breath and get on with it. I can see why people chose to leave, there are far too many countries in the EU these days and a lot of them need carrying.
what a beautiful street scene. So sunny and colourful too. Dont worry about having your say Pat. We're with you too even from here in Oz. Arent we lucky we can express our views freely
