Market day in Lancaster, lots of lovely veggies all fresh from the farm.
A filler today as I have been to the cinema with my friend. Egg sandwiches on the back row!
We saw Eye in the Sky with Helen Mirren & the lovely late Allan Rickman. Brilliant film full of suspense!
Three good things:
1. Senior day at the cinema meant half price tickets & free coffee & biscuits!
2. The roof on Centre Court at Wimbledon.
3. The council have been & put circles round our four potholes in the road. I reported them a few days ago, wonder how long it will take them to actually do the work!
Lovely capture of this bright market stall. We have the same pensioner cinema thing down here, I take it that yours up North are in B & W with the organ playing (Wink)
Lots of tasty things on the stalls. I miss this kind of market. No cinema here - but the 'Screen Machine' visits from time to time. It's a vehicle that adapts into a mini cinema and seats 80 people. It travels round the Highlands.
Fruit and vegetables so much better straight from the grower. Must remember that movie.. saw the shorts and did wonder.
Your pit holes will probably get sprayed a few more times before anything is done if it's anything like here.
@julzmaioro Well I am always praising & reciting your road works Julz. When we come over in February the amount of road repairing is phenomenal! I have never ever seen one pothole in NZ! You would be absolutely shocked at ours!
Nice market image. I wasn't sure if I could watch Eye in the Sky but your comments will perhaps urge me on. I have just finished reading 'Me Before You' - a great read but as you say, pretty sad.
Great colourful busy-ness - I love these markets. There's a farmer's market held not far from here on the 2nd Saturday of each month.........must go next time! Haven't been to the cinema for ages!
It looks like a very busy and active market and the colours are wonderful. Thanks for your comments. Our new grandson was born on March 17th so is still very new. Despite it being St. Patrick's day he is called Rory and he was three weeks early. We are of course delighted and Henry can't wait for him to be old enough to play with!
@maggiemae John would love that film...edge of seat stuff with some amazing modern day surveillance equipment, all to do with drone warfare. @dide A film that's a few months old now Dianne but could pop up somewhere in NZ sometime hopefully. DVD will be out soon I should think.
