I pass this cottage every time I go to Garstang.
The bridge spans the River Wyre at St.Michaels on Wyre & this was the village that flooded so badly late last year.
Even today so many months later the people flooded are still not back in their homes.
Three good things:
1. Radio Lancashire available on DAB in Blackpool & Fylde at last!
2. Smell of new mown grass.
3. Little Libby next door is three years old today.
I was thinking about this little town just the other day when we had bad flooding in the area.. and wondered how they are getting on.. thanks for the update.. this is a cute little cottage.. (ps.. our flooding was not as bad as this)
Lovely cottage and the pink flower troughs really show it off. Dreadful how long these people who were flooded are out of their homes. I know how long so many people here were in caravans and rented accommodation. There weren't enough builders to cope with volume of work.
@thistle Yes you're right ajoyce, this house here wasn't flooded but on the other side of the bridge the water came swirling round flooding the school, village hall & houses. All the bungalows have tradesmen's vans outside at the moment so all seems to be coming together at last.
