Hawkshead village as the evening draws in.
You can see the lights of the parish church up on the hill at the back of the photo.
Lovely black sheep in the field pasturing & all was quiet at the end of a busy day.
Three good things:
1. Good to be quiet at the end of a day, we need it in our sometimes hectic lives.
2. Our village is anything but quiet tonight & all weekend. The European Tractor Pulling championships are being held on the showfield.
The roar & black smoke coming those tractors can be heard for miles. Harry has gone with his packed tea.
3. I watched a very exciting rugby challenge cup final at Wembly between Hull & Warrington. Such a close final with Hull who had never won before at Wembly winning 12.10
@beryl Harry has just walked in now Beryl, he got fed up with it! Hundreds of cars all over the place & thousands there all drinking beer & watching noisy tractors. Better watching X factor !!
