I went a walk down 'our' fields this afternoon just to stretch my legs a bit & see if I could get a decent photo.
I spent a while taking pictures of daisies & distant hills but on my way back I met our lovely neighbour Dorothy.
She is the most pretty, sweet, rosy cheeked, gentle lady you could ever hope to meet. She is in her eighties & thankfully looks so well.
She so suits the house she lives in don't you think?
Three good things:
1. Dorothy told me when we were away for seven weeks in February, March & early April because she hadn't seen Harry around she thought he was ill & bought him a get well card! So kind!
2. The day has got better & better & tonight it's so warm & sunny. We had thunder in the night!
3. The local children have had a great fun day in the village today! What with the tractor pulling & fun day it's been all go in Great Eccleston.
She looks so absolutely beautiful and youthful! So much better at eighty than most people I know at 60!
It must be the clean, fresh air at your village - and the great neighbours!
A gorgeous lady in all ways -- you have said it all Pat ! And She and her cottage looks like a marriage made in heaven ! You have made a grand job she looks so natural and comfortable as if she is greeting her friend on her door step . I simply love this shot and I am sure she will be delighted with a copy ..it deserves a big fav !
No grey hair and rosy cheeks. Her head on one side identifies her as a very nice person! And what a gorgeous house - hope its warm enough in the winter!
I think you've done a fabulous job, Pat. Love the cottage too - would be so happy to see inside! (On gardening progs on TV I always want to see in the houses too!!!) A lovely lady for a neighbour!
That's a lovely picture - beautiful lady and beautiful house. We were very unlucky with the weather when we were up north. I was ready to look you up but we had such a dreadful journey on the way up we decided we had better set off back - Lucy's lovely daughter was house & dog-sitting but it all co-incided with A'level results and I didn't want her waiting up too late. Will probably come again to the Lytham relatives before too long (after they've cleared those roadworks at Knutsford which scupper both the M6 and M62).
@judithg Hi Judith that would be great if you find you have time. Easy to get to from Blackpool & Lytham so you're very welcome to come for a brew or stronger! The weather was so wild when you were up, you picked a bad weekend! The motorway is horrendous & blocked again tonight with an accident. Needs all your grim determination to brave a journey on the M6! Probably nicer up the A(M)1 & across. Nice to see you back on 365!
@happypat I know - well if we hadn't had to call in on Nigel's dad on the way home for Nigel to sign some paperwork we would definitely have come over.
