I rather liked these golden apples dangling off the bare branches in part of our garden.
A hearing appointment this morning which was a mistake as I'm not due for a check until next year apparently. Glad I went though as Abbey confirmed I needed my ear syringing & told me where to ring for an appointment.
Our doctors surgery don't do ear syringing now for some reason so I have to ring very early about 7am to make an appointment at the Same Day Cinic in Fleetwood.
Three good things:
1. Our NHS.
2. One of my original long term B&Bers rang me today to book in tomorrow night, it will be lovely to see him again.
3. Harry's car is back all as new!
A lovely shot of your house through the branches and there is beauty in those golden apples hanging from the branches -- just as if you have not taken down the Christmas baubles yet !!
So it will be an early start one morning to go to the " EAR " clinic So many changes in the NHS at the moment , but we are fortunate of what we have got !
@beryl The ear lady told me to ring 111 when I got home to make an appointment. I felt guilty riding that number as there's nothing wrong with me! He gave me a number to ring (said if my condition worsened to ring them straight back...all routine stuff to say but for ear wax! ). You have to ring as soon as it opens because the appointments go very quickly! It's a same day clinic so you have to ring for the day you're going! Can't fault the system but I must be up early on Thursday which is the first day I've got time to go.
What a surprise. At first I thought they were Christmas decorations. Good luck with the ear syringing. My ear canals are so tiny and twisty that the doc says I better never need them to be syringed.
@jgpittenger ear syringing seems to one of the things that falls bybthe waysude here a bit. Our surgery doesn't do it now, they say it can be damaging to the ear sometimes. As I wear a hearing aid it means that the wax is pushed in further so need to get it out! Harry has problems with ear wax but I normally don't so I blame the hearing aids!
Same here, Pat, I've had to make an appointment with another surgery at the other end of town. Think they must have consolidated this type of work into one surgery.
Gorgeous look at the house! Always love seeing this! Yellow apples might be rotten inside! I'll have to investigate what fieldfares are @pinkpaintpot ! No ear probs for me but John has to have his cleaned out - wears hearing aids of course!
@maggiemae I've had no problem until the hearing aid wearing Maggie, me & John together! Apples are probably rotten as they are Bramleys, a cooking Apple which is a green apple!
@carolmw I think it's quite a common thing these days although the Garstang surgery I was at for the hearing Id review did them. I don't belong to that surgery.
@judithg It's crossed my mind if the apple have fermented any, several time I've cleaned from the back bedroom window the oily remains of bird outlines after they've flown into it. One poor thrush killed itself flying into the window. I don't know if it had been eating the apples though.
