Boys on summer holidays. by happypat

Boys on summer holidays.

Another dank dreary day so a sunny summer shot from New Zealand.

Photo taken at Walter Peak Station on Lake Wakatipu. South Island.
We skyped with these two rascals this morning so I thought I'd use a photo of them both today.
At the moment they are staying in Napier, another place to visit this next visit!

I have never been to this lovely place but it looks gorgeous! One day I will get down to Queenstown!

Walter Peak is a 25,758 hectares carrying over 18,000 merino & Perendale sheep & 800 beef cattle.
A Station in NZ is a very large farm over a certain number of hectares. @julzmaioro will know!

Three good things:
1. A clean car.
2. Went to see Passengers at the cinema with my usual cinema friend Dot. A rather odd film which I wouldn't care to recommend but strangely fascinating! We did quite enjoy it, three of us only in the cinema!
3. Harry bought us each a coffee Renoir for our pudding, I had an omelette before to make up for all those calories! Yum yum!
What a lovely pair!

What a gorgeous landscape as a back ground to these two little lovelies !! Such a beautiful shot of the two looking as if butter wouldn't melt in their mouths -- I just could cuddle them Pat --fav

@beryl Me too Beryl, they were all tucked up in bed when we spoke this morning but still lively! On holiday time!

Yes. Mine are 7 and 4.

You can only get to this place by boat and its a fun ride on a steamship. It looks quiet and alone here in this lovely photo but the place is normally swarming with people - and Queenstown is even worse, I've been told!

@maggiemae Really I didn't know that, they must have gone on the steamer then. It looks beautiful, I think they stayed in Wanaka rather than Queenstown. That's apopular place too I believe!

So lovely to see these happy faces! My favourite cake - I always used to choose one from a bakery in Church St Preston - probably a pound shop now...

That's a fabulous photo Pat. Gorgeous boys and a wonderful setting.

Such lovely boys Pat and a stunning view. SO good that you can Skype them. I've just washed my car but it needs to go to the car wash where the lovely chaps there will attack it with their power hoses!Still at least I've removed some of the visible dirt and mud.

Sweet composition

Whoops I missed this shot of the lads.. cute boys and in a lovely setting.. not sure how many hectares qualifies for a Station .. but lots.. not so many in the North Island mostly in the South.
It's a great ride in the steam boat The Earnslaw across lake Whakatipu.. I think I prefer Wanaka to Queenstown.

a gorgeous photo of the boys. I loved Napier when we called in there on a cruise and we also went on the steamer ride from Queenstown some years earlier. I would love to cruise around New Zealand every year, there is so much to see. Have you ever been to Akaroa, a very quaint little place
January 13th, 2017
@cruiser no I haven't Chris although we nearly went last year when visiting granddaughter near Christchurch but ran out of time. We still have so much to see! Looking forward to Napier.
