We picked Gin up from Hamilton Airport this morning. Our granddaughter Alex is going on a Kontiki trip through the centre of Australia so mum & dad are dog minding.
She is quite used to air travel but never flown on her own before.
A better day today healthwise & I can feel myself improving slowly each day at the wonderful Knowles family hospital.
We went into Cambridge checking out the gorgeous house shops & I walked quite a long way
I appreciate all your comments on my photos, there is no need to feel you must say something as I'm doing 365 the easy way at the moment, just diary photos & no commenting!
I hope to improve soon on that score if the Internet in Taupo is good.
Bravo to sweet little Gin for her solo flight! Hope Alex has a wonderful time on her Kontiki trip. And so delighted to read that you are feeling better by the day, Pat!
@maggiemae she's stil in the same place until end of May Maggie then moving on somewhere not decided yet. I think she will stay on South Island though.
@onewing yes it willl be hot Babs! Flying to Darwin then traveling to Ayes Rock & on down to Alice Springs! She's a tough farm girl so hopefully will be ok!
@happypat Crickey, I do hope she is tough. It is the wet season in Darwin at the moment and not a pleasant place to be weatherwise. Alice Springs is 41 degrees C today.
Alex will find it a bit hot touring central Australia at the moment, we are melting.
