This photo was taken through the car window this afternoon. Not a brilliant photo as for some reason I had my camera on the wrong setting. You can see how dry the land is & farmers are getting desperate for rain.
I've had a lovely meet up with two of my 365 buddies @julzmaioro & @dide for lunch.
It was so good seeing them both again, I think this would be the third time of meeting.
I appreciate your journeying down to Woodlands specially girls & hope to do the same next year!
I had a double G&T with my lunch so things are looking up! No afternoon nap either today so hopefully well on the way to recovery!
Hope they get rain soon....land gets so parched...how great to meet up with 365 buddies..sounding on the right track, health wise..with the double G n T. And no nap...xx
It does look very dry. With our heat the moisture has been sucked out of the earth at the moment. Hopefully some rain this evening. We desperately need some.
Good to hear you are on the mend and how nice to catch up with Julia and Dianne
Oh gosh that is a bit desperate ... hope they get some rain with all these clouds that are around at the moment .. So lovely to catch up and it was a perfect spot and look forward to catching up again.. I am pleased that G&T put a spring back in your step and a glow in your cheeks.. . Have fun with the rest of the family ...
A wonderful landscape , in spite of the signs of a drought ! Glad you are feeling better Pat and that you had a lovely meet,up with @julzmaioro and @dide Enjoy the rest of your trip !
Maybe they might get some of the rain that I'm experiencing in the top half of the South Island! Rained all night. Those hills look so bare - like the ones in North Canterbury too. Its a funny land - so different in places so close to each other!
Good to hear you are on the mend and how nice to catch up with Julia and Dianne
