Spent ten minutes this afternooon at the amazing Huka Falls just on the outskirts of Taupo.
We had a bit of time to spare before we picked Max up from school.
I have been before but was glad to see this again as to such an amazing sight.
The concept of the wide aprox 100 metre Waikato river being forced through a 15 metre gorge providing hydro power is so fascinating, lots of tourists around with cameras.
Me with my shorter haircut! An improvement I think!
Looking fantastic Pat. Good to see you there after being so poorly before travelling.
Lovely hair too.
Water is incredibly powerful. ...lots of hydro power up in Scotland too.
Enjoy!
It certainly is a amazing sight .. never see enough of it .. it amazes me that it is the same river just down the road from our house ... looking very relaxed..
No grey hair on your head, Pat! You must be a very relaxed person -not too relaxed though, to fall over these Falls! Someone recently kayaked over them and survived!
@maggiemae Must say the old legs aren't up to scratch yet Maggie, I need to get some walking in when I get home! That's the one thing I don't feel as good as I should be after the flu, can be wobbly too so I must watch going over!!
You look fabulous, Pat! Love the hair cut, the smile, and the pearls...you look rested and relaxed. I think family and NZ sunshine have been good for what ailed you. The leg strength will follow. In the meantime, take care!
