London Bridge by happypat

London Bridge

We stayed near this bridge on our recent trip to London.
A cloudy rather chilly day as we crossed the bridge to the City of London.

Three good things:
1. London is a wonderful place to visit but the sunshine & fresh air when we arrived home to Lancaster railway station was a relief.
2. A visit to the doctor again today this time for the wrist. Osteoporosis has been diagnosed but he was more bothered about the shingles traveling down my nose which means it would be affecting my eye. Dye in the eye showed no signs of that.
3. Lily's birthday, she is eighteen today, a long living cat!
Could have had a London meet?

Is this where the recent terrorist attack was? Glad it was safe then. Never seen this sort of picture! London Bridge is not falling down here!
Good that the eye test came out well - having shingles around the head can be quite severe!.

It does look grey and bleak and I am sure you appreciated the fresh country air when you got home .
Glad to hear the shingles has not affected your eyes -- but Pat , do rest as much as you can to aid recovery !-- it can be so nasty !
Happy Birthday to Lilly -- I am sure Harry will give her a special tea tonight !! -- A good age Pat - our old Wellie( Wellington ) a ginger tom lived to a ripe old age of 21.

...and osteoporosis is something I've been diagnosed with in spite of never having broken anything! Pills once a week and lots of sunshine is the treatment!

You've had a memorable weekend one way or another. Good to be with special friends there. Take care xx

@maggiemae pills once a week Maggie, I wasn't offered anything like that, just paracetamol or injections if it gets worse! Can hardly believe I have that as my mother had such strong bones, I'm active & i have a healthy diet! I am taking it with a pinch of salt. Carry on regardless!

@beryl Oh heck did he, that sounds a great age but Lily is quite hard work so hope she doesn't quite last that long. Poor Lily sounds harsh but she's such a worry when we both go away! I hate to think of her pining which she did last time.

@maggiemae didn't seee you had two comments! No that was Westminster Bridge maggie, the one near the Houses of Parliament I nearly put about falling down as my title but thought better!

Lots to look at in this shot. Love the reflection of the London busses. Hope the shingles isn't causing you too much pain.
I was diagnosed with osteoporosis years ago, but it still hasn't slowed me down. My auntie had osteoporosis and lived to be 97 years old, so I figure it isn't going to kill me, ha ha.
Happy Birthday Lily, she is a ripe old age. Our cat lived to 17 years old.

@onewing I was rather worried when I heard the word osteoporosis Babs I must say. Glad to hear lots of my friends have it too but not slowing them down. Thank you for your advice.
