Popped into the Clevelys Marks & Spencer's this morning to pick up a parcel.
The high street is always buzzing with holiday makers & residents.
The sea is at the far end.
Three good things:
1. My friend Dot has a new grandson called Harry!
2. We are loving samfire with fish, dinner tonight, it was delicious!
3. Looking forward to going to the Westmorland Show tomorrow! An early start so as soon as the B&B's are gone we're off!
Wonderful bright and inviting town , busy with the late summer sun shining ---- no doubt in-between showers if it's anything like here !!! How sweet to have your friend 's grandson is named Harry !! Hope the weather turns out fine for you tomorrow ,for you and Harry to enjoy the Show -- Enjoy !
Had to look up what samfire is! A sea vegetable. Sounds nutritious but my taste seaweedy? Big wide pavements here for lots of people which seem to be here at the moment.
@maggiemae yes a little seaweedy maggie, doesn't take much cooking & it's a little salty but delicious with fish! I fried it in butter tonight! Yes big wide pavements in Clevelys.
looks a lovely day in Clevelys. Hope we see some sunshine when we get to Bolton and then further up into Scotland for 10 days. Would you believe Pat that the lovely down filled vest I bought especially to bring with me I left at home on the lounge!!! I am hoping I can find another at a good price as although I have some jumpers I only have a rain jacket.
How annoying Chris! Never mind there are lots here, I am wearing mine tidY fir the show, it's definitely waistcoat weather just now! Think of it as a little bit of England to take home!
