That's me by the way at the back! I'm sure other photographers know what I mean!
A lovely walk along the side of Loch Morar, I think we must have walked at least four miles.
Lovely autumn colours & alternating between sun & drizzle, the light was changing all the time.
Some very nice houses along here, some holiday ones but many of them were lived in permanently, perched on the edge of the Loch they had amazing views.
Harry striding ahead.
Three good things:
1. A day at home catching up with washing etc.
2. We tried Wilkins Tiptree Orange marmalade while on holiday so Harry went out & bought a jar.
3. We have been lighting the woodburner since we got home, so cosy!
A beautiful scene. Harry is obviously used to you stopping to take images - much the same here when we are walking. A nicely composed image with the road leading to Harry, then the Loch.
Sort of wild hilly countryside - maybe heather here in the right season. The loch is not a big one but any sort of water is good to look at and walk beside. We are still having a fire here!
Quite a big Loch maggie, 18.8 km in length. 26.7 km surface area but the biggest is the depth at 310 metres deep, over 1000 feet deep which is the deepest fresh water lake in the UK . There is rumour of a monster!
Such a beautiful ,autumnal scene along the loch , love how the eye follows the meandering path along the edge of the loch , with Harry , then the end of the loch and finally the sun-drenched hills in the distance .Such a peaceful scene -- fav
@beryl thank you Beryl. It was abeautiful walk & I can understand why @maggiemae would think it only small but this bit of the loch is just a little bay half way along, further to the left it goes on behind this hills on the left. It was very peaceful.
I know this feeling. I am always at the back too. When we are out with the walking group, they always know not to wait for me as they figure I will catch up with them at some stage.
