At this time of the year we have thousands of pink footed geese flying over, some going north, some going south at different times of the day.
You can hear them before you see them & this morning as I hung the washing out I could hear them coming, dashed in to to get my camera & managed to get this shot. I had the wrong lens on so was lucky to get this shot in focus!
We have Pilling sands & various flat sandy areas around the coastline here so it's an excellent area for the migrating large birds.
Three good things:
1. A very quiet catching up day today, was so ready for a day at home!
2. Coming colder from the north this afternoon...proper winter temperatures!
3. Good tennis on TV at the Nitto ATP finals at the O2 arena in London.
Well done to get a shot of the birds.. and seeing what colour their feet are (lol).. they are so clever flying In formation.. lucky with the lovely blue sky..
In the characteristic v shape formations! I've never heard them but it must be very exciting to hear them all coming! Difficult to focus too away up there in the sky so this is so good!
