Our lovely bakery this morning as waited to pick up my bread order.
A long queue that snaked all along from door round to counter. Nobody minded, plenty of chat & it was warm!
Three good things:
1. Corn bread from Pebbys, so delicious!
2. Looks like the end of Robert Mugabe.
3. Our lovely granddaughter Alex ran the full Queenstown marathon, her first ever full marathon. The most amazing scenery to help her along.
This is just lovely and there is nothing to beat local fresh bread....unless I suppose you make your own.....and lovely to chat while waiting. Love small community life!
Nice to have a local baker's shop ours closed down some years ago and by now the family have retired even from their indoor market stall ! Nice to be in the warmth in the lovely smell of freshly baked bread -- That chappie has certainly spotted you and your camera/phone !!
@quietpurplehaze He he he is Hazel, you don't notice when you are quickly snapping the photo! I am not a big bread eater but do love a slice of toasted corn bread with apricot jam!
@beryl A sad day then Beryl. They come from miles to shop here & a family firm, daughter just taken over from mum so hopefully there as long as we want to shop there.
I would be a non stop bread eater if I had a bakery like this! How delicious - really fresh bread! You don't see people's expressions when you take photos. Then it gives you a bit of a shock if they look annoyed! Stuff 'em! Its a public place. Mugabe is getting what he deserves, finally! He was the one who put my 2nd cousin Garfield Todd out of office and into jail!
